Latest Trend in Video

The way we consume information has changed.  We are bombarded with information because it is so readily available. We have become used to finding what we want to know immediately. When we research a subject on the internet we no longer even have to read text.  Videos come up and we get what we came for in less than 3 minutes!

So, as business owners, how does that change the way we need to advertise? Stats show us that 70% of global online users watch video. And that companies that implement video strategies correctly have reported more than 2X sales increases, 30% lift in conversion and 19% higher average order value.

As a corporate video production company we agree with those stats. But what we are also seeing is that viewers are quite often not watching linear videos to completion. From my own experience there has been many times that I have stopped a video because… a) poorly produced b) I am not getting the info I came for.

But what if information could be offered in 45 second clips? What if you were able to choose the question you want answered? Would this make a difference in viewer’s engagement?

It seems that yes, offering information in small clips, topic specific, does capture people’s attention.  How do I know this? Because of our Interactive video application called Conversational Video.

The key highlights of this application are that you can quickly create your content, you can imbed input fields directly into the video, and you can measure your viewer’s behaviours and therefore adjust the clips and content accordingly.

When you enable your online viewers to interact on your website, you see positive results. Stats show that interactive video captures your audience’s attention 5 x longer. This result is increased viewer engagement and this translates to better online conversions.

Produce a video and meet a 101 year old woman

Last week we were making a video for Volunteers West Island and we filmed one of the Meals on Wheels kitchens preparing the lunch for their recipients, mainly seniors with limited mobility.

We followed volunteer drivers to the apartment of a 101 year old lady who actually appeared at the door of the apartment building to greet the volunteers.

101 year old womanIt was quite a thrill meeting someone who has actually lived that long and to see her still mobile and very aware of what was going on. She just seemed very happy and content to be alive.

One of the thrills of making these kinds of videos is the wide assortment of people you get to meet, even if only for a few minutes.

Sales Video For Your Website

A sales video is an advertisement that is intended to promote a specific product or service. It’s intended to generate awareness by highlighting the advantages and the benefits the client will acquire as a result of purchasing a product or service.

Sales videos differ from corporate videos as corporate videos provides an overview of the business, professional firm or association and its goal is build a relationship with the viewer.

Sales videos should be highly engaging, and kept short, from 30 sec. to 90 sec. These videos often mix on screen talent with graphics, music and sound effects.

There should be a strong call to action at the end of the video with your coordinates clearly indicated.

Take a look at this video we produced for Flobax, a company promoting their supplement for back pain relief.

A sales video can be used to entice retailers to stock your product or designed to sell directly to consumers on the web. Sales videos can be put on your website, they can be used for live presentation by your salespeople, and they can be played on a continuous loop at tradeshows to attract attention to your kiosk.

Creating a corporate profile web video

A corporate profile web video is a dynamic and engaging way to attract and hold your viewers attention. The majority of us prefer to watch a web video rather than read web copy as long as the video is well shot and edited.
A corporate video provides an overview of the business, professional firm or association. It is designed to begin building a relationship with the viewer and communicate the main mission, values and corporate image. It may contain interviews with principles and employees, along with a professional voice over. The video must be compelling enough to hold your audience’s attention so music, interesting images and an articulate spokesperson are important components.
Client testimonials are a highly effective way to build trust in a brand, product or service. Adding brief client testimonial clips taken from targeted interviews can add value to a corporate video.
It’s important to use a call to action as text at the end of the video or on the page, such as “call us for a free consultation “ to convert visitors to leads and prospects.

How does using video help convert website visitors to clients?
Here are 10 ways that a business video will bring a return on your investment

1. Grabs the viewers attention
2. Helps build brand, product or service awareness
3. Your Spokesperson helps build trust with viewer
4. Orally and visually communicated messages are more likely to be remembered than written messages
5. Communicates the company’s message in less than 5 minutes
6. Viewer can see the premises, meet the staff, experience a product or service
7. Cost effective marketing strategy
8. Increases Google ranking by increasing your search engine optimization
9. Invited viewers can subscribe to your YouTube channel and they will be notified next time you upload a video.
10. Put your URL on part of the video and the viewer can be taken directly to a given website, increasing your traffic
